About Me & My Blog
There's not much to say about me, really. I'm just a guy who was lucky enough to grow up in the Silicon Valley, and have a life-long interest in technology and business. After helping to start Pogo Linux in 1999 with some friends, I left to study Computer Science at UCSD . There I was fortunate enough to be involved in helping to start VentureForth, a student-run organization focused on helping others who were also interested in entrepreneurship. After graduating, I couldn't pass up an opportunity to work at Google - and I can't overly-express how thankful I am to have gotten the opportunity to do so. In 2007, I felt it was time for me to take my own path, and start ThriveSmart with Jennifer Chen .
I keep a blog first and foremost for my own benefit: I want to track what I've learned and how my views change over time. I'm also hopeful that by recording what I learn, I can help others avoid the same mistakes I made. As Warren Buffett says, it's better to learn from other people's mistakes than your own.
Of course, there are a few people I consider my personal heros. You'd do much better to learn from them than you would to learn from me: Steve Jobs , Warren Buffett , and Bill Gates . My personal recommendation to you: learn everything you can about them.
You can also find me on Google Profiles, LinkedIn or Facebook , Twitter , or Delicious, and on Riveti .
And that's it! Onward.
